Eugene Rosides, an undersecretary of the Treasury, becomes the Publisher of the National Herald.

Antonis H. Diamataris becomes the publisher of the newspaper at a young age and his on going passion to meet the needs of the Community firmly entrenches it as the leading Greek- language daily newspaper in the United States.

The National Herald relocates to its holly owned own headquarters from Manhattan to Long Island City. The newspaper also maintains offices in Boston, Athens and Nicosia.
