It can be truly said that the National Herald (1997) was founded as a response to popular demand. That the demographic changes in our community necessitated its founding.

Our readers want to know what is going on in the Greek American community and the Hellenic world, including Greece and Cyprus and they want it in the English language.

The National Herald is a response to that need. It is the newspaper that is presenting the news and addressing the issues of paramount interest to the Greek American community.

As the sister publication of Eθνικός Κήρυξ (Ethikos Kyrix) the only daily Greek language in the United States the National Herald is published weekly for a Saturday Home Delivery and by the Post Office throughout the United States.

Since 1977 the National Herald has grown by leaps and bounds to become by far the dominant English language national newspaper serving the Greek American community.

Also the web site of TNH (as well as of the Greek language daily Edition www.ekirikas.com ) is already counting thousands among its subscribers from around the country and around the world. We intend to be the web site of reference for our Community.

It is a paid subscription site for unlike other general interests sites the advertising bases to support a niche web site like ours simple is not there, yet. In addition we believe that a quality product should charge a price as a way of taking pride of the product itself and also as a way of expressing respect and appreciation for that product.

Our site is updated daily as the news call for.

It is our strategy to develop this site as the one Greek American go to for news and any other information they may look for.
